Nearly there

HI, keeping you up to date. Gavin Docherty of the Express phoned because he saw that David wasn't on the Centenary show and he was going to do a bit on Saturday about David on the show. So it proves that it pays to keep this up to date. By the way thanks Gavin, you always give me a nice plug.
I drove back to London on Monday and I was exhausted by the time I got back. My back was killing me and I was coughing and spluttering all over the place. It always happens. You can carry on when you know you have shows to do. But when they stop you fall apart. David is ill at home as well. Its Thursday now and its the first day I have felt human. Now Kates ill. Jane is the only one who hasn't had the bug yet. She cant afford to get ill she has fourteen thousand things to do. Richard Anderson my MD has been working really hard getting all the music together for the show. I've been doing my company manager/producer/ director bit and emailing everyone with the running orders/ lighting plots and call times. I'm enjoying the whole process actually. Ashley from the marketing at the Kings says business is fantastic. In fact most nights only have the upper (Gods) circle left. Thats always your biggest worry. When your name is on the poster as big a mine is ( the ego has landed) you panic that it wont be busy. We could probably have done the whole week.
Anyway. I can relax a liitle bit till I fly up to Edinburgh on Monday. Ross arrives tomorrow and goes up to see his family on Saturday. Ok I'll blog again after the show is over. Good night Michael and Catherine.
PS Paul Elliot and I have a meeting on the 6th to talk about Golilocks and the three elephants. (he always changes everything)
bye

Rebuked

I have been rebuked. A couple of people have said I am not updating my blog enough. It is only because once you open in Panto, not a lot happens. You get up, go into the theatre and come home. Apart from the odd drink.....or two, it's just work. Although I have to say fantastic fun work. I cant believe that after 7 years together doing panto, Andy, Grant and I still scream with laughter at the stupidist things.
The Centenary show is doing really well. The box office is very healthy and all the bits and pieces are coming together. I have a few surprises planned in the show as well as the billed acts. Ross is flying over next week (straight from the Sundance film festival where he is interviewing some stars.....Dean Park, Mary Riggins etc.
I will go home on Monday the 22nd and have a few days there before coming back up to start the show. I'm really looking forward to it. David is not performing now as he has a very important gig at Abbey Road Studios with Luke Batt. It is a pod cast for America. So he had to make a choice and Abbey Road won. Quite right too. After the Centenery show I am home for a week and then fly to New Orleans to pick up the Arcadia for a week round the Caribbean.
Hi to Michael Harrison
bye
